He says, “I will..” There is a certainty of action. Thank God that He is true to His promises. He will give us new hearts.
That’s the promise of what’s to come when Jesus comes on the scene in the New Testament. He says that He will, “Make all things new” (Rev 21:5). That promise absolutely applies to our hearts.
What we are going to do the next couple days is go on an archeological expedition. The treasure that we are looking for is your heart that has been assaulted and wounded from all that life has thrown at you. You’ll see your heart for the battlefield that it is.
As we take a closer look at the spiritual heart, you will find there are core desires. When you look at these desires, it’s important to remember and know that you reflect the same desires God has. You are made in His image, and that includes, most importantly, your heart.
