Participant Manual Exercise 7, Page 3

*Note that this exercise is in your Participant Manual, rather than the Restoration Guide.

Take time to ask these questions of God and write down what you hear:

  1.  Jesus, do You love me?
  2. You think of me?
  3.  What name do You have for me?
  4.  What have I misinterpreted in my life?

When you are done with this exercise, return here to complete this lesson on Hearing from God.

Reflection Question:

Do you believe what God communicated to you in this exercise?

Important Scripture from this video:

Luke 10:9-10 NKJV

"So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened."

Summary

Before we conclude this lesson on Hearing from God with your short quiz, let’s take a moment to summarize the three steps again for you.

Step 1: We Need to Know Who We Are

JrTtJ0MznGcNTebt_uE0pGNwEsYN2KTdL
  • We are WARRIORS, made in God’s image, and with core desires.
  • It is important to know what God thinks of us and to hear that WE have what it takes.
  • God chose us and has been thinking about us for a long time.  His desire is to make us whole and holy in His love.

Step 2: We Need to Receive Our Identity and Our Name from Him

  • Our identity speaks to WHO we are and our name speaks to WHOSE we are.
  • We must receive our validation from Him and not from wordly things.
  • God will give us a new name and it is up to us to believe it and receive it in faith.
  • God’s spoken word to us is not for us to fulfill, but for Him to.  Our part is to believe Him to do it.

Step 3: Stand in Your True Identity

  • An attack on your identity is a warfare tactic by satan; knowing and hearing who you are is therefore a weapon AGAINST the enemy!
  • The enemy will try and remind you of your past, but you must ignore him.
  • We do not get our strength to face the enemy from work, money, success, or relationships.  That confidence and strength comes from Jesus alone.
  • Everyone who asks, receives.
