Non-Volitional Posing

This type of posing happens without you even being aware of it. It comes from deep woundedness or brokenness.  True brothers in faith are important in these situations to bring this posing to our attention when we often cannot see it for ourselves.

WHY DO WE POSE?

  • Get the job
  • Get the girl
  • Get the money
  • Get the accolades
  • Get the approval of others

REVEALING YOUR POSE

  • Jesus will reveal our pose if we don’t deal with it.
  • We are called to be authentic.
  • Maintaining our pose will keep us from stepping into the destiny we are created for.
  • God knows our heart; we cannot fake it to Him and He does not want us to!
  • To lay down our pose and enter into a relationship with Him is to live in freedom!

2 CORINTHIANS 5:17 CSB

"Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has passed away, and see, new has come."

MATTHEW 23:27-28 NIV

"Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You are like whitewashed tombs, which look beautiful on the outside but one the inside are full of the bones of the dead and everything unclean. In the same way, on the outside you appear righteous to men, but on the inside you are full of hypocrisy and wickedness."

LUKE 16:15 NIV

"He said to them, 'You are the ones who justify yourselves in the eyes others, but God knows your hearts. What people value highly is detestable in God's sight.'"
